CAFEC trapezoid coffee filters

My friend Paul McEntire brought me some filters recently. He uses the Moccamaster at home, and it has a V-shaped (trapezoid) filter basket. He's made so many batches of coffee with this machine, always using the official Technivorm Moccamaster filters, that he knows if something isn't right. He told me Technivorm had recently changed their filters, and the flow rate was drastically slower than before. He contact them (as did I), and they responded:

"Our filters and their packaging have recently undergone cosmetic updates. However, extensive performance testing has confirmed that there have been no changes to their quality, flow rate, or overall functionality."

I did a flow rate test with the old Moccamaster filter, the new Moccamaster filter, a Melitta filter, and this CAFEC filter. This filter had the fastest flow rate, followed by Melitta, then the old Moccamaster, but the new Moccamaster filter had a 27% slower flow. Since you can't buy the old filter any more, I was determined to get these to sell to anyone who's using a pourover or brewer with the V-shape (not conical) filter basket.

These are made with Abaca, which is a type of banana tree that produces inedible fruit. It's a very strong paper fiber that's also extremely fast growing, making them renewable and eco friendly. Thanks, Paul.
