CAFEC TH-3 coffee filters
$11.00
We've been selling and using Hario drippers and filters for as long as I can remember (at least 2010). I've toyed around with having my own filters manufactured and even purchased a roll of filter paper that allows me to heat seal a rectangle into a cone. But last time I was in Nicaragua, Juan Ramon made me a pourover at his farm with these CAFEC filters. I'd never seen them before, but when I got home I ordered some. Lots of them, because CAFEC makes several different types of filters. I settled on these because some of the others are made for "light roast" coffee, and these have the fastest flow rate, "allowing for more clean, sweetness, and sweet flavor extraction," according to the manufacturer.
I had Andrew brew two pourovers with the same coffee, same grinder, same everything, except one he used our Hario filter and the other this one. They were similar, but the Hario had a slightly harsh finish compared with the CAFEC filtered brew. That's when I decided to sell these.
They're made in Japan with virgin wood pulp and use no adhesives. I recommend them.
