Costa Rica La Minita

  • Hacienda La Minita is located in the Tarrazu valley, at the confluence of the Tarrazu and Candelaria rivers, an area renowned for producing excellent coffee. This is one of the first farms to sell a single-estate coffee in the U.S. in the early-80s, and one of my favorites since the very beginning. From harvesting in the mountains to wet processing at the mill and grading in the lab, every detail is important and each step along the way culls the lot, leaving only the very best coffee beans. La Minita is a Euro-prep coffee, which means it is hand-sorted to make sure there are no defects. If this isn’t your go-to coffee, it should be one you always go back to.
