Creative Field Guide to Northeastern Oklahoma
$30.00
This is a cool book whether you live in northeastern Oklahoma or not. It's packed full of images and info about all the things you might encounter when you put your phone down and go looking around outside. (I know, it's hard.) Everyone who sees this book says the same thing: "This would make a great gift." That's true, but don't make the mistake of giving something you don't own yourself. Put it on the ottoman and flip through until you've satiated your curiosity, which I hope is never. Here's how Liz Blood describes the book:
A not-your-average field guide featuring original creative writing, visual art, writing prompts, and art activities to get you making art based on your own experiences in nature—as well as more than 90 species native and naturalized to Northeastern Oklahoma. An excellent companion when heading outdoors, whether to the backyard or some far-flung location.
