This is the new standard in thermometers here at DoubleShot. I was a Cooper Atkins fan for years, partly because of their lifetime warranty. But prices have crept up and their warranty process seems to be a bit of a convoluted mess. So a while back I tried out this old standard from the early days of DoubleShot, and it's great.
We use these to measure our pourover water temps as well as our milk steaming, which means it's quick and accurate. Measures from -40ºF to 500ºF (or -40°C to 260°C if you're that kind of weirdo), so you can check your meat and the temperature outside the igloo. They say you can put it in the dishwasher, but that's on you.
