Colombia Los Naranjos

  • This is a coffee that is from the northern part of Antioquia, and which is brought to my friend Cristina's mill in Medellin by a resourceful woman named Marleny. It's grown on a farm named Los Naranjos, that is owned by a man named Fredy Egidio Taborda Mora. The farm is located near a town called Santa Rosa de Osos in an area called El Sauce. The variety is called Variedad Colombia 2000, which is a hybrid developed by the Colombian government to be disease resistant. Cristina says the farm has lots of orange trees and a lot of streams in which they raise trout. Nice coffee from an area we don't usually get coffee.
