For the past several years, I've been cutting the handles off my kettles and making new ones out of reclaimed wood. Through this process I've discovered new angles and found some shapes and sizes that are really comfortable to hold. Leave it to Paul McEntire to one-up me.
I gave him a new, in-the-box Hario Buono and commissioned him to take what I've learned but make it beautiful. And this is what he came back with. It's a modern take on the rustic accoutrements I conceived. Brilliant. It's finely polished reclaimed antique walnut with maple dowels for support and accents. The angular shape of the knob on top really gives it a mid-century modern look. This is one-of-a-kind.
Another unique artifact handcrafted by Artisan Paul McEntire.
