Panama Bambito Natural

  • Just up the road from the town of Volcan, in the Chiriquí province of Panama, Bambito Estate sits in the mountains near the picturesque Cerro Punta, where fields of strawberries and horses paint the hillside with vivid splendor. Though I’ve driven by this farm dozens of times, it was in Boston that I met Priscilla, the fourth generation owner of this farm. The coffees from Bambito are clean and fresh, and unique to our lineup. This is a dry processed Yellow Catuai, which is a hybrid created in Brazil from Caturra and Mundo Novo varieties. The microclimate on the farm and the care taken in processing the coffee culminates in a soft, yet effervescent cup profile that I really enjoy.
