That's my tongue.
I've been suffering for the last three weeks from mold in my apartment. It sucks. Lots of mildly irritating symptoms- the worst of which is messed up sense of taste. For the last three weeks, everything has tasted terrible to me. At first I thought maybe there was something wrong with the coffee. But it was the drip coffee, presspot coffee, and espresso. Then I realized the beer didn't taste good either, and I didn't make the beer, so I couldn't have messed that up.
Anyway, not being able to taste correctly is terrible, especially since this past week several people have made a point to tell me how great the coffee is. People who might not normally say anything. And I know I'm missing out on some special stuff. Frustrating.
But today I had a thought: What if this is how most people taste? Could it be that most people can't tell the difference between good coffee and bad coffee because it all tastes bad? I'm just a little off because of mold in my system, but what if a lot of people were born off? Could I be experiencing the taste hell that most people live in? God, I hope not. But I guess it's possible.
Suddenly I feel like a Bud Light...
