Thieves!

Someone stole my bike last night.
It was on the rear rack of my car, in the parking lot of DoubleShot. I don't know who did it, but I'm pissed. Besides the obvious madness, I'm upset because this bike was REALLY expensive to build, and I can't afford another one. Also, I have attachments to this bike. It feels like someone stole my cat. It makes me very sad- I've ridden that bike everywhere (Costa Rica, Moab, Crested Butte, and everywhere in between).

This is a one-of-a-kind bike. There is no other bike like this in the entire world. Especially in Tulsa. It is a carbon fiber Trek 9.8. Has Easton carbon handlebars, FSA carbon cranks, XT front derailleur, XTR rear, Shimano 959 pedals, Mavic Crossmax SL wheels, Thomson stem and seatpost, XTR brakes and shifters, a yellow Selle Italia seat, and a Fox FLRT fork with dingy white rabbit fur fork boots.

If you see someone riding this in Tulsa (or anywhere) or see it on ebay, please let me know. Tackle them immediately and get my bike back please. Call the police. Or call me and I'll come beat the shit out of whoever took it.

This is not cool.
I'm going to write about my feelings concerning this very soon.

I don't know who stole my bike. Of course, the neighbor girls are suspect, but I can't imagine... (I did try to look under their back door though)
This is pretty serious to me. Being without my bike, not good. My bike is my escape. I imagine some stranger on my bike and it sucks. I'm pretty pissed about it, and it's depressing.
I drove around looking for it today, with no luck.
I have a feeling I'll never see it again. I can't remember ever being without my bike.

I'm so sorry to hear this. If I see the bike in Dallas (we're here now) I will promptly kick the shit out of the assholes who did this. This sucks serious canal water for you, Brian. I am so very, very sorry.

Sigh.

I'd like to write something like, "Be well" or "Good luck" but all that seems kind of pointless - I just really, really hope you can get the bike back.
