DoubleShot Widget!
Now I've gone and done it! DoubleShot Coffee Company is the proud owner of the first coffee widget. If you don't know what widgets are, you should find out. They are awesome. Our widget is for ordering coffee. All you have to do is download the widget, pull up Dashboard, fill in your shipping and billing info on the back of the widget, choose a coffee from the drop-down menu, and click the "Order" button. Your coffee will magically appear on your doorstep. Easy as pie and coffee.
Check it out. I think it's awesome. Even if I did design it myself. :)

Do a search on apple's website for DoubleShot or Coffee widget and it will pop up. If you are on a pc... well, you suck. But I guess we're working on a conversion to Konfabulator. So stay tuned.

Looks pretty nice. Since this is the first purchasing widget I've played with, how (or maybe is?) the credit card info secured?
And how do you find time to be a coffee junkie, a fitness junkie and an Apple junkie all at once? And a small business owner. You must never sleep.
Oh - right - the coffee...
The widget accesses the web site through a Secure Socket Layer tunnel, or https, when it submits your credit information. Then the information is stored on a secure server until I check the orders.
As for the multi-faceted junkiness that is my life, mostly I neglect less-important things like eating, sleeping, training for races, accounting, housekeeping, etc. I gave up my routine tree-climbing time so that I might have time for blogging.
Then there's coffee...
Awesome. I'm so glad to have this widget! It totally reminds me of home. I used to live in Tulsa, and came to DoubleShot a lot. I am friends with Jason Powers, so I used to come in and harangue him when he worked there.
However, I only found out about DoubleShot Coffee Co, sadly, about 5 months before I left Tulsa to move to Boston. But I _still_ say that DoubleShot makes the best coffee I've ever had.
I miss going there! I always make a point to go DoubleShot and buy myself a pound of the coffee when I visit Tulsa.
Now, with this widget, I can have DoubleShot in Boston!
